Chairman’s Message for the 90th Spring Convention

It is a pleasure to welcome you to the 90th Annual Spring Convention of the Church of God Chapels in the Cayman Islands.

We are meeting in a time of chaos and instability in the world. There are over 110 wars and conflicts taking place at this time. There is political uncertainty in the United States. Meanwhile, Caymanians are in the middle of a political campaign with 59 candidates running for office. We will make decisions on election day that will influence the country for years to come.

In the same way our church is at the crossroads. The decisions we make now will chart the course of the church for generations to come. We celebrate the past even as we strategize for the future. These are indeed “New Beginnings” and our message is just as relevant today as it has ever been. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 6:17.
This is our message and everything we do must be geared towards introducing people to Christ who gives “new life”

Enjoy convention. Be blessed by the Praise and Worship. Be challenged and encouraged by the messages and take this opportunity to fellowship with brothers and sisters from the other congregations.
